None. It was none of these. Or maybe it was all of them thrown in together. Along with a catalyst too! :)
Yep. I got a tattoo done. As a b'day gift to myself. :) :) It was a crazy decision and I just went and got it done. Not telling the world helped.
Most of the people think I am impulsive. Maybe I am! :) But, reflecting back tells me otherwise.
Interesting reactions I got when it was on display(only partly so) for the first time this weekend -
"OHH! Ma'am, you are very stylish! Tattoo and all that!!"
"Ahhh!! You have a tattoo!! What super font! Good that you got it done. It's good to get something done for yourself."
"Wat sexy tattoo! Looks fab with the saree!!"
And the best one was by an aunt (with raised eyebrows and a mischievous grin) ,
"So, whose name do you have tattooed on your back?! I've been trying to read it every time you crossed my way."

I could relate to the comments as I too got a tattoo about a year back.. Was in the US then and got it the very last day before coming back.. There was a vast contrast in how people at 3 diff places reacted i.e US, Frankfurt(had a connecting flight) and India.. US(a black man sees and says): "Yo man, thats a helluva sexy babe you got there.." It was actually a 'pari' with a beautiful pair of wings on my arms.. I didnt really know how to react.. @Frankfurt(A young german woman): "Hey Mister.. That girl must be very lucky.." .. What girl are you talking about miss.. :) .. India(A close relative): "Why did you get a tattoo, is everything fine.. I know normal people dont get tattoos.." I was laughing and they werent sure why.. :)

I too wanted a fairy and then the quote underneath it, but the font he showed me looked so awesome that I abandoned the want of a figure and went ahead with the quote.

I'd love to get a tattoo one day. It's just scary because you have to make sure you wouldn't regret it.
