The floor was second
The evening gray

I stood there
In the last bay

Strangers we were
I didn't know the play
Yet you beckoned
Without having to say

Across the room
Above 'em all
It's the look you gave
That made me fall..

So what exactly is it that you do?! [insert extremely confused-quizzical-ODed on caffeine-Look]

It was nice but I didn't get what did it have to do with the topic.

Nice short poem. It was about falling in love right ? Given the topic is about work, trying to affirm it was not about falling from grace and was in fact falling in love..

Short and sweet poem. I enjoyed it. In fact, you have provided enough room to the reader for his imagination. It is indeed a very good open ended poem. I personally prefer open ended tales that speak the entire story. Good Job!

The words rhyme very well. It was nice to read. But I didn't get it. :-(
(Poems have always haunted me since school) :-(
Anyways, all the best! Cheerios!

Thanks, Harsha :)

Aah, Aneet! how irrelevant is it to ask what I do ;) cuz I do a lot of stuff. gossiping, whining about the office politics. reading stuff on the web, whining about the restrictive policies at office. travelling to work and back, whining about the travelling et al. At times when I am not doing any of this, I work as an architect at one of the architectural firms, headquartered at Mumbai.

Thanks Nethra! Well, it's just a fictitious one about what else can happen at work. And hence under the topic, All in a day's work. :)

Thanks, Mahesh :). exactly my thoughts when writing this one. It's just one of those small-things-that-happen-at-work pieces.

Thanks Madhu! *chuckle* yep. about falling in love, it is. at the work place. ;)

Thanks, Neeraj :) I like it that way too. there was one such story in English(cbse) when i was in class 9th or 10th. dunno, if you've read that or not. :)

A short and nice poem. Good that you were able to finally make it to BAT 5. Vipul must be happy to see the numbers traveling northward...
